Event Overview
Over the year we will be working with participating schools on a variety of different training modules.
Training – Becoming an Eco-Schools Coordinator
This course will give everything the teacher needs to lead Eco-Schools at their establishment. By working through all modules, they will practice each of the Seven Elements that form the criteria of the Green Flag Award, and will be well placed to implement them in their context.
Training – Eco-Schools 7 Step Methodology
This course will explore how the Eco-Schools framework can provide a motivating context for the active participation of children and young people, and help your school reduce its ecological footprint. This is a great opportunity for schools to hear directly from the Eco-Schools team about how the programme works, what the school can do to gain awards and the benefit this has on the school and its pupils. It will also be an opportunity for any new or existing eco-schools to hear about all the changes the programme has recently gone through including all the new resources that are available.
FREE Workshops
In addition to training about the Eco-Schools programme, we have a number of opportunities for workshops that will support their work towards a Green Flag Award.
Compost training
Micro plastics experimental workshops
Urban farming workshops (Aquaponic)
Water Audit Workshop
Rainwater harvesting training
