Youth Leaders of a Green Tomorrow

The Green Growth Youth Fellow Programme is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering young individuals to become leaders and change agents in the field of sustainable development and green growth.
 
 Through this fellowship, young people will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to drive environmental sustainability, social inclusivity, and economic growth in their communities and beyond.

Through comprehensive training and mentorship, the fellowship aims to build the capacity of youth fellows in areas such as sustainable development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, renewable energy, circular economy, and eco-innovation.
Project Implementation

The Green Growth Youth Fellow Programme offers a unique opportunity for young individuals to become catalysts for sustainable change. By nurturing a new generation of green leaders, the fellowship aims to accelerate progress towards a more environmentally conscious and inclusive future.

Programme Duration

The Green Growth Youth Fellow Programme will be a year-long commitment, comprising of an intensive training phase followed by project implementation and mentorship support. The fellowship will run annually, with a new cohort of fellows selected each year.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Age: The programme is open to young individuals aged 18 to 30, who are passionate about environmental sustainability and green growth.

  2. Background: Fellows from diverse educational backgrounds and fields of interest are encouraged to apply, as long as they have a keen interest in environmental issues and a drive to make a positive impact.

  3. Commitment: Selected fellows must be willing to commit to the full duration of the programme, actively participate in all activities, and dedicate time and effort to implementing their green growth projects.

Training & Workshops

Fellows will participate in a series of workshops, seminars, and webinars conducted by experts in the field of sustainability. Topics covered will include climate change, sustainable development, project management, communication skills, and advocacy.

Green Growth Projects

Each fellow will be required to develop and implement a green growth project that aligns with their interests and local environmental needs. They will receive guidance and support from mentors throughout the project implementation phase.

Networking Events

The fellowship will include networking opportunities, both virtual and in-person, to connect fellows with leaders and organisations in the sustainability sector.

Recognition & Visibility

Successful completion of the programme will be acknowledged with a certificate, and outstanding projects may receive further recognition and support from partner organisations.
