Quick Eco-Schools Malaysia facts
Eco-Schools Malaysia’s award-winning certification program has provided independent, third-party verification for schools and outdoor education centres since 2015.
In 2021, Green Growth Asia Foundation succeeded the National Operator status from WWF-Malaysia.
Eco-Schools Malaysia is the Malaysian National Operator of the international Eco-Schools programme, overseen by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). FEE is endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and is closely aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
In 2019, Green Growth Asia Foundation became an Affiliate Member of FEE.
In June 2023, Green Growth Asia Foundation became a Full Member of FEE, making GGAF the fastest member.
As a Full Member of FEE, Eco-Schools Malaysia is part of a community of 95 other national Eco-Schools programmes around the globe.
